The centre’s flagship ‘Housing for All’ Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY Gramin), has got an extension from the Union Cabinet from March 2021 to March 2024 to achieve the target of constructing 2.95 crore houses. With this continuation of the scheme, construction of the remaining 155.75 lakh houses will also get financial assistance to be made into pucca houses with basic amenities.
